Greg Clarke and the Madvarks
at Mitzi's Sister
Thursday May 14th, 2009 at 9:00 PM
1554 Queen Street West, Toronto
(2 blocks west of Landsdowne)
Faster than a speeding riff, more powerful than a pounding snick, able to leap tall chord changes with a single bound, the all new and improved Madvarks will once again entertain you with their dazzling blend of classic rock covers and brilliant original tunes.
Mestaclocan, the Mayan Shapeshifter, was said to not only have the ability to change his appearance but could also manipulate the minds of animals. Like Mestaclocan, the Madvark quartet has shifted it's shape and is now a quintet. Come and see whether this new creature can manipulate your mind!

For the Madvarks, December was a month full of playful
partying and raucous revellry, lasting long into the night.
Then one day we woke up, slightly hung over, and when we looked
at the calendar, it was 2009! Now that winter has descended on
Toronto, covering earth in forgetful snow, the Madvarks will
gather again to play with their musical toys ...
come visit us in our African sandbox to hear the sounds
of our new tunes and dance once again with playful abandon
as we entertain you!
Greg Clark and the Madvarks at the Cameron House
Saturday Nov. 15th, 2008 - LATE
408 Queen Street West
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Time traveller Greg Clarke will be returning from the 48th Century just in time to perform with the Madvarks at the Cameron House, that fine establishment in the very heart of Queen Street West, on Nov. 15th 2008. Critics from around the galaxy have ranted and raved profusely about the stupendous sounds, madcap melodies and hazardous harmonies of this extraterrestrial sensation from the planet Zooks. Do not delay; go directly to the Spadina solar system and wait there, impatiently, until the performance begins!

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far away, there lived 4 little Madvarks. They lived happy lives, lying in the sun all day and playing with their musical toys all night. But they longed to explore the wild west of Queen Street; they longed to taste exotic flavours at trendy bars, they pined for the bright lights and noxious odours of the urban core. Then, one day, as if by magic, they found themselves appearing at the Cameron House, entertaining the gentlefolk and buffoons of Toronto's fabled creatures of the night.

In the jungle, the quiet jungle, the Madvarks play tonight...
Darkness descends on the savanna ... the sound of restless animals can be heard in the forest as nightfall approachs. The cry of the jackal on the prowl echos in the valley ... but wait ... what is that other sound ... the driving beat of the drums, the plaintive wail of the horn, the deafening skreech of the strings ... its a band ... its a group ... its The Madvarks, returning to the Safari Village, in search of strong drink and tall grasses ... hope to see you there!
